The Andaman Islands
Locate on Google Maps
The Andaman Islands — a true gem of India — offered us an experience nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by shades of blue and green so vivid they felt surreal. Havelock Island, with its azure and emerald waters, was like a dream brought to life — nature at its most pristine and untouched. Scarcely believable that this was India.
Our stay was tucked deep within the forest, a hideaway that blended luxury with wilderness. Waking up to the sounds of rustling leaves and tropical birds, and falling asleep beneath a canopy of stars, felt otherworldly.
Adventure called every day — diving in the Andaman’s legendary tropical waters was simply phenomenal. I explored a hauntingly beautiful shipwreck of the HMS Marie Sophie at a depth of 100 ft., teeming with marine life, and we snorkeled over coral gardens that burst with color and life. The clarity of the water made everything feel close enough to touch, and the sheer biodiversity left us in awe.
One of the highlights? A deep-sea fishing trip that ended with the unforgettable thrill of catching a Giant Trevally — strong, fast, and absolutely magnificent.
And just when we thought the days couldn't get more stunning, the sunsets proved us wrong. Each evening, the skies erupted into a blaze of color — fiery oranges, deep purples, and golds so intense they seemed almost painted. Fantabulous and scarcely believable, they were moments of quiet magic that we'll never forget.
